About Miles
Miles was a keen footballer growing up and pursued volunteer youth soccer coaching as a teen, playing semi professionally in his early 20’s peaking with FA Cup appearances in 2012-15. He went on to coach in the US (Challenger Sports) spending two years in Kentucky (YMCA) & Colorado (Carbondale Soccer Club), coaching state level u12 boys and u14 girls travel squads. During the day Miles was filling his schedule with elementary and kids multi sports sessions in local schools with a focus on motor skill development and enjoyment of exercise. Miles is experienced coaching a range of skill levels for youths between 3-16, he engages well with children and quickly builds rapport.
Responsible for designing and implementing parent education and a full club coaching curriculum, Miles biggest moment was securing 50 separate scholarships via approaching local businesses for underprivileged youths in the local community and Miles looks back on pride with his US achievements, still in touch with many of his former players who went on to play College Level US Soccer.
A keen runner, he will be is spending 2025 training to clock a 2:45 marathon in Sydney and Gold Coast, as well as looking to chip away at his half-marathon PB of 1:17.
Spending 2024 travelling Latin America, Miles made the decision to return to “the best job I ever had” and is excited to be back working developing athletes of all levels and abilities to build confidence and character.
